This chinrest is only offered in pau ferro, a Brazilian wood very similar in looks to rosewood. As shown here, it is very light, but darkens with age and use. Pau ferro has the greatest variation in color of all of the chinrests offered by Frisch and Denig. Special note: Players with skin sensitivities sometimes react to pau ferro like they would to rosewood. We recommend that you consult a doctor and that the wood be covered with a cloth to avoid skin contact.
